Zoo Lights Preview

As a warm up for the full-on fun of Zoo Lights, we're extending Zoo hours for these special weekend nights in December. Come enjoy the San Francisco Zoo at night under magical holiday lights. Shop at our all-new Holiday Marketplace, see the reindeer romp, enjoy hot apple cider and cocoa at Cafe Playfield, and hum along to seasonal music as you play in the newly renovated Elinor Friend Playground. 'Tis the season to enjoy the San Francisco Zoo at night under magical holiday lights. Come take a moonlight meander through the Zoo as it sparkles with cheer: Make your way from Entry Village Plaza to the newly renovated Elinor Friend Playground for some magical playtime under the stars. Through December 23, shop at the Holiday Marketplace to find one-of-a-kind gifts for loved ones. Then head over to the tent to sit with Santa Claus and sip hot apple cider and cocoa. Don't forget to pay a visit to his special reindeer Belle, Holly, Peppermint and Velvet. Feel like dancing? On Saturday nights in December, we'll feature Noc'tails Silent Disco ($5). You can also watch live entertainment, play Holiday Midway Games to win prizes, ride the historic Dentzel Carousel, and enjoy the holiday cheer as you stroll through select areas of the Zoo during this wonderful event. Reindeer Romp returns with Santa's favorite reindeer friends Belle, Holly, Peppermint and Velvet. These four majestic animals mark the return of the holidays here at the Zoo and will be on exhibit through New Year’s Day. Stop by the reindeer area on the Playfield Lawn near the new Elinor Friend Playground and check out the real story behind these majestic creatures. Free with Zoo admission.

A special visit to the reindeer is a great opportunity to become one of their adoptive parents. Adopt-a-Reindeer today! Toys for Tots

We are happy to be collecting Toys for Tots again this year. Please donate any new, non-wrapped child's toy at either of our two collection centers in the Wildlife Connection Shop and the Membership Office, both at Entry Village. Thank you in advance for your generosity for this great cause.
