Classes for Young Children

Little Learners

18 months - 3½ year olds & 1 accompanying adult

Year-round

Little Learners is designed for young learners and their caregivers. Each class focuses on a different animal and includes a craft, small snack, an education animal visitor and an experience full of exciting discoveries. Although mostly structured, all activities are optional which makes for a pressure-free introduction to the classroom. No more than 1 adult per child; class themes subject to change.

Members $25 per class per child

Non-members $35 per class per child

Receive a 10% discount when you sign up for all weeks in a series!

Fees include a parking pass as well as entrance into the Zoo for 1 adult and 1 child.

Animal Adventures

3½ - 4½ year olds & 1 accompanying adult

Year-round

Filled with music, crafts, games, and an education animal visitor, Animal Adventures is designed for 3½ - 4½ year-olds and their caregivers. Each class focuses on a specific letter and corresponding animal. Animal Adventures also utilizes other preschool concepts such as colors, patterns and sizes. No more than 1 adult per child; class themes subject to change.

SF Tots @ SF Zoo

1 ½ - 3 ½ years

SF Tots joins forces with the SF Zoo! Using a variety of fun games to engage kids in physical activity, SF Tots classes are designed to develop motor skills, promote physical fitness, and self-confidence. Classes are focused on providing a fun, noncompetitive environment for soccer-based fun and games. Caregiver attendance is mandatory.

5 - 7 Years Old

Drop-off program

Our Young Zoologists love learning about amazing animal and habitat classifications and what makes each group unique. Activities include crafts, games, Zoo walks, a special Zoo Keeper talk and snack.

Conservation Club

8 - 11 Years Old

The mission of the Conservation Club is to learn about our natural world, complete conservation actions together, and be empowered to help educate others. Nurture budding conservationists through discussions with peers and professionals, Zoo explorations, and themed activities.
